A Prayer for Today

Today, is a gift. 
Today, is a gift. 
Today is a gift. 
So live it, live it all the way from the top of your head to the souls of your feet, run, jump, enjoy, laugh, cry, eat good food and drink hot coffee. Leaves are falling all around us, reminding us that we are prone to die and fall and we are in need of a Savior who will pick us up off the ground and swing us off our feet until we fly. 
There's no fear in love. And all that Savior wants to do is exactly that; help us fly. Because we can see the world in more beautiful ways, like how it really is, when we fly.
Go about the tasks before you today with vigor and grit and strength so that tomorrow you can add more vigor and grit and strength and so on the next day and the next day and the day after that... 
Because life with Jesus is too short to live lazily. But be grateful that life with Jesus is neverending. 
Neverending. 
Be whole, pure, right, holy, before the Lord today so that you can live presently; not looking to the past or hoping for the future, but simply being here and now and loving every second. 
Pray that the world will see Jesus and that you will see more of Jesus through the world; that every single second, you may hold captive the thoughts that appear and the words that appear and the music that appears and the wonder that appears and learn which things you should hold onto and which things you should let go of. There is glory, glory, glory, here. There is hope, as Jesus whispers through the glory of the day, come near to me, and I will come near to you. 
Today is worth it. 
Live today and love today and love Jesus and live, breathe Him in and exhale Him out.
